Poor Dad and Mum arrived Friday..... and we are all coughing, sneezing and hobbling around.
Brents foot turned into a saga and a half..... he had a visit to the doctor on Friday who ordered an Xray and told him to stop walking on it and get some crutches.
So Mr Drama King toodled off to Xray...only to be told that they didnt have anyone to read the Xray and to come back on Monday....he then tried the hospital and pharmacies for crutches.... but was told by each that they were all out on loan already......so by 5.30...he came limping home...not x-rayed and with no crutches.
Fortunatly over the weekend his foot has improved...still quite painful...but he is walking fine... and I fairly sure he will cancel his x-ray for this morning..... and as an added bonus...the feeling has almost returned to normal.... ohh.. and his head cold has improved....
I felt unwell... with a sore throat and achy bones on Friday night...so called in sick.
I felt slightly better on the Saturday....and we had a huge night out... as it was our work progressive dinner...with a mystery bus trip.... dinner....and lots of laughs and fun.
...then I felt terrible yesterday....full blown sore throat... nose Urrk.... and unfortunalty I feel no better today..... I got up and went to work.... only to turn around and come straight home again. It would be unfair to cough and sneeze all over my patients today... and the last thing I would want to do is pass it to every other member of my team.
So lets hope Mum and Dad manage to avoid all the germs while they are here.

Thankyou sooooo much...and it was amazing to see all the fabulous layouts that were the result of my original.... I have followed up each link...and tried to leave everyone a comment....unfortunatly I wasnt able to in some galleries that I am not a member of.... but please know that I was thrilled..and loved seeing them all.

Snap...the same lurgy is at our house!! I feel like aweful too, so i feel for you..cant imagine having to try and work feeling so sapped of energy! Get lots of rest and look after yourself!

Poor Brent. That's terrible not being able to get it x-rayed or have crutches.
ReplyDeleteI've had a nasty cold and cough for 2 weeks so I totally understand how miserable you must feel. I shared my germs with my hubby so he is now looking, sounding and feeling dreadful too.
Congratulations for getting more of your scrapbooking creations published. I was looking through a current magazine on the week end and noticed your name appearing on a few pages.
Wonderful work as always. It's fantastic your getting so many items published. I am very happy for you Mardi.

Oh no, I am sorry to hear you guys are not well there - hoping your feeling heaps better quickly Mardi. Definetly seems to be a heap of bugs going round at the moment no matter which state it is.
