Thankyou...

15 July 2008

*Thanks so much for all the 'Nanna' congratulations..... and for sharing in our excitement...

Its funny really....I loved my kids to bits when they were small (and obviously I still do)....but they were constant work...as are all kids. Looking back...I certainly didn't take the time to appreciate they wouldn't be this way forever.....I rushed through each day....on auto pilot.... I barely snapped a photo.....I never put a pen to paper....and we just existed from week to week. As my kids grew....my Nephews
and Nieces arrived.....I love them to bits....but I was so 'over' the baby/small child days...I didn't really appreciate them as much as I could of either....and then we moved....and although I still had some gorgeous young Nieces and Nephews....I just didn't get to see them so much... and I began to really miss that....

....so I'm bursting....with my fingers itching...longing to hold him/her... see who he/she looks like.... and to have a little person in our lives again....

*My darling Parps had major surgery yesterday in Tassie....I'm thinking of him constantly ... so if you you could.... please wish him well.

* My chemo is almost finished! I had my routine appointment prior to chemo yesterday (Thank this week to lovely Michael from work for driving me down.....sitting with me...and safely returning me home) ...anyway...at my appointment.... she went through my treatment plan again....and I have two more Paclitaxel/Herceptin treatments over the next two weeks..... then a three week break. I then have a heart scan again....and begin a further 9 months of Herceptin. The best bit about that is the majority can probably be done locally....and my trips to Adelaide will be 3 monthly for heart scans and checkups.....there really is a light at the end of the tunnel now...hooray!

* School holidays are almost over here.... its a shame really....I love them.

Anyway....as you are aware
....I took a little blogging holiday recently...and while I was gone...I seem to have been the lucky receiver of a few awards.....and some fun tags! In fact....my name popped up on quite a few as I was reading through blogs on my catch up round (which isn't over yet) and so I'm terrified as I list of the awardees and tag'ees that Ill miss someone... but here goes...

The BRILLIANCE AWARD

I received this one from the beautiful Jolene.... and the gorgeous Lea... it really made me feel good to to make their lists.....and then to read their lovely comments about my work....thanks girls.... I think from time to time we all tire of our own work.....so to hear such beautiful comments made me feel inspired.

6. I have a very select sense of humour... I either find things hilarious....or I cant see what the joke is about...I think mine is apprently crude or warped...not sure which.

7. I love to annoy Ian and the kids when Im bored....I stick my fingers in their ears....stand on their toes.... poke them....anything for a reaction.....but I HATE it when they do it to me.

Now - I tag...Omgosh...Ive been here all morning... who havent I tagged??

Finally..... I received this award from this gorgeous girl....who has a heart of gold...and someone who has been a great friend of mine for some time now.... someone who's work is always colourful... tells a story (which I love)....and shows beautful craftmanship Sheree....

Julie ...a fellow Master...and an amazing talent...

Tammy
- who scraps this wonderful and unique style...that screams Tammy.... and is such a warm...and caring person taboot.
