A little Bella moment...

17 November 2009

While on the subject of our Normanville weekend....

Last week.....I created this cute little mini-book all about our weekend away....

The photos we took were just perfect to go with this adorable little mini-book created and taught by Janelle in her class at the @home / away retreat.
I was thrilled that there was kit left over afterwards for me to purchase....and it adapted so easily to my 'Normanville' theme.

So....I had fun putting it all together.... and I popped it in a basket on the coffee table in the family room.

Then along came Bella.... she was immediately interested....Oohhh something new to look at she thought....and because she was being quite gentle.... I let her go....she flipped and turned it...and pointed at the pages... and was very taken with it for quite some time...

She even read it upside down for awhile...Then she brought it a little closer to her mouth...and gave me the cutest little look.....
....then she just couldn't help it...she had to have a little nibble....

...and because she couldn't stop nibbling.... it was time to put it away....up high!

Oh, I know the feeling (though it's my 11 year old doing that ...).
I just finished off my gorgeous Janelle minibook yesterday, and wrapped it today ready to send to my Nanna. :)
Your weekend to Normanville sounds lovely. Ah the memories. I must remember to take the kids down the Fleurieau (spelling?) when we're over that way one time. I don't think we've been since CJ was 2 and O was a baby! And like you said, so lovely to have that time with your family as they are getting older. It reminds me to enjoy our family trips now.
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. It still spins me out a little bit, having put real people to online friends ... it was all a bit surreal and I must admit I felt a little overwhelmed at times (like when I saw you ...) but I am so happy I got to meet you in the flesh - gorgeous lady you are. BTW, your beetroot comment cracked me up but I can confirm you look nothing like a beetroot! ;)

  2. Awww...just look at those adorable curls! You must have been quick off the mark with your camera Mardi...what great shots! Love the little story they tell. Very cute! I still need to finish of my 'Janelle' mini. I just love all the texture with the fabric and felt! I'm hoping to get to it this week...along with everything else I need to finish off! LOL

  4. Oh that's gorgeous. :) I love that you used Janelle's kit for your minibook. And doesn't she look like Brent in one of those photos! Or maybe all of them!
