SEWING ( L.O.V.E.) - CUSHIONS FOR THE GIRLS

24 June 2014

I had this pretty cool idea....
what it I were to make some of the girls drawings into use-able artwork.
So....I took a recent drawing from each of them....

Here is Bookas...

and one from Bellsy...

and turned them into cushions for their lounge at home.
They match in beautifully with the big piece of artwork Bells created a few months ago.

...Now they can snuggle up with their very own cushions...and their artwork is on view for everyone to see.

I made a point of adding their names and ages too....

I must say I am always chuffed when an idea in my head turns out as well once executed...
so often my visions don't turn out so well..haha

  5. They are so sweet and I live that you included their name and age.. That probably sounds like a no brainer to you. But I honestly wouldn't have thought of it. I have spotted this idea before on facebook... The maker stitches the artworks onto fabric and frames it in an embroidery hoop. The cushions look gorgeous. You are a lovely nan Mardi! You know you have set the bar now right and will have to do these for every future grandbaby hehe. Leax
